My Doula Was Brandi Morales of Barefoot Birth : Part 4 | Tampa Bay Doula

"I can't say enough great things about Brandi. This was my first birth and we had a home birth. Brandi met with us a few times in our home just simply to get to know us, share knowledge, encouragement, and answer any questions. Once my labor began, Brandi was there with her tools at hand. She used soothing music, essential oils, heating pads, robozo wrap (amazing)... And of course she supported me through each contraction with soothing encouragement and holding my hands. She was great support and a team member for my husband. She gave him tools and techniques to use that allowed him to be an amazing birthing partner. Once it came time to start pushing, we ended up in the bed room which wasn't in the birthing tub where all of our cameras were to capture the birth of our son. That was so important to us. Since at this point my midwife and the assistant were working to help me through pushing and my husband was the coach in my ear, there was not much that Brandi could do. So Brandi didn't just sit aside, she knew how important it was to us to have some sort of photos or video to capture the birth so she grabbed our camera and took tons of beautiful pictures of our son being born! This is not something that is written in our contract. Brandi was always thinking of what else can she do. All these things combined made Brandi the best decision we could make when going with our home birth. My husband was on the fence about spending the extra money and he even says we would do it all over again. After the birth, Brandi came by postpartum for a check in and support chat, delivered my placenta capsules, and still continues to send me texts with information on breast feeding and other supportive articles, and invites me to local meetings that offer support and information on breast feeding and general mommy groups. Choose Brandi! You won't regret it." - Allison Loper
