Our 2nd Annual Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Walk

Thanks to all who came out to our second annual family walk to commemorate Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 13, 2018. We are so glad to continue this conversation to reduce the stigma and loneliness surrounding pregnancy and infant loss. We hope relationships were formed and support was found through the resources and stories shared.

About 100 people registered for the walk and $1,000 was raised for our local loss support groups, A.M.E.N.D. Tampa and Hope Mommies Tampa Chapter

The evening included a wonderful poem reading, community art project of remembrance tile painting, local support resources AMEND, Hope Mommies, and Our Hearts Align, a family 1-mile walk throughout Cotanchobee Ft Brooke park along the Tampa Riverwalk, and a flower release into the river.

A big thank you to all of our volunteers who helped put together this event. A big shout out to our hosts, SuperMom and SuperDad of JTEP Charity, Oops A Daisy florist for providing the beautiful daisies for our flower release and M & S Photography for capturing the event. Another thanks to our community sponsors- Go Go Squeeze, and Thrivent Financial and our local loss mamas who contributed to our seed card giveaway- for their financial and in-kind donations. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks also to Fox13 for having our founder and President, Charlie, on for a morning spot promo of the event.

If you have experienced loss or are currently experiencing loss, remember that you are not alone. Know that there are resources out there and people who care and understand. Don't be afraid to reach out.

You can still help provide support for these local loss resources by purchasing a loss t-shirt from our facebook page or by stopping by and visiting us!
